Say what you will about female weightlifters, I refuse to give it up. Even when my body wants to quit, I don’t. Even when the day is rough, I’m not quitting. Even if people think women who lift are… whatever they think, I will not quit. Because of moments like this one right here. Do you see that look in my eyes? The intense quiet. The resolve. The conversation I am having with myself that basically ends with “You got this girl.”

And I do. I do have this. All day, every day.
